• Scrutiny:
  • Carmichael, 2009, Pergande described three subspecies. However, the distinguish was based primary on the shape of the galls. Neither P. symmertica symmertica nor P. symmertica vasulosa had its morphology described. Pergande notes that the differences in the shape of the galls could be related when the gall was initiated. All three are probably synonymous.
