Blackman, 2010, Gillian Watson's PhD thesis on British Macrosiphum indicated that the type specimen of Macrosiphum euphorbiellum Theobald 1917 is a pale partially ovipariform individual of Macrosiphum amygdaloides Theobald 1925. In the Royal Entomological Society Handbook, Volume 2 Part 7, the latter is listed as a synonym of the former, as it is here.
