  • Favret, 2015, Older references cite "Cnapahalodes Macquart ex Amyot & Serville" with a type species of Adelges laricis. However, the although Amyot & Serville do cite Macquart's opinion, it is clear they are selecting the name for two species: Orthezia urticae (L.), a scale insect, and Chermes pini Linnaeus.
